CNN May Lose License In Russia If Violations Not Eliminated

CNN fake news propagandists have started wars, conducted espionage for the CIA worldwide - and their reign of terror is about to end not only in Russia but also America as Senate Intelligence Committee now scrutinises their anti-Russia campaign of lies and warmongering deceit

CNN International has less than a week to eliminate violations uncovered by Roskomnadzor, otherwise the US broadcaster’s license in Russia may be suspended, the country's communications regulator said.

“We’ve recently issued an order to [CNN]. It instructs the television channel and the broadcaster to eliminate the violations that we detected before October 11,” Vadim Subbotin, Roskomnadzor deputy head, told Interfax. “Under the law on mass media, if the order isn’t executed, the broadcasting license can be suspended by Roskomnadzor," Subbotin warned.

According to the official, the watchdog is currently reviewing the paperwork provided by CNN in response to the complaints.

“We’ll have more precise information somewhere around October 11,” he said.

During his earlier speech at a session of the Russian Federation Council’s Committee on State Sovereignty Protection, Subbotin said that he “wouldn’t like one to draw parallels between the activities of Roskomnadzor and the activities our colleagues from the US Justice Department are now conducting regarding our [Russian] media.”

Russia needs to revoke the license of CNN, arrest, prosecute CNN spies operating in the country under cover

“We treat every media outlet equally, no matter of their state of origin – America, France, Germany,” he said.

In late September, CNN received a warning from Roskomnadzor over broadcasting incorrect registration data.

It was ordered to eliminate the violation, which the watchdog's head Aleksandr Zharov described as “mundane.”

Long overdue: CNN fake news finally exposed in Russia

Zharov also stressed that the attention toward the US channel didn’t mean that CNN’s place on air in Russia was in danger.

"According to the [Russian] legislation, it’s only after two warnings that the procedure of suspending the activities of a media outlet is initiated and this is done through a court,” he said.

In recent months, increased pressure has been applied in America on Russia’s RT channel and Sputnik news agency over their claimed role in the alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 US presidential campaign.

On Wednesday, it was reported that Google has pulled RT from the premium YouTube advertising service without notifying the broadcaster.

In September, the US Department of Justice sent a letter to a supply company which provides for the needs of RT America, the US-based branch of RT, demanding that it register under FARA (the Foreign Agents Registration Act) by October 17.

RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan decried the move as an attempt at an outright ban of the broadcaster in the US, while the Foreign Ministry stressed that being registered under FARA may endanger RT staff working in America.

Putin will have the last laugh on CNN fake news

The State Sovereignty Protection Committee chairman, Andrey Klimov, stressed the need for Russia to come up with a response to the pressure on Russian media in the US.

"According to the recommendations of our commission, the relevant ministries and departments are invited to develop and, if necessary, begin to implement countermeasures against the US media [operating in Russia] within the framework of existing legislation,” he said on Thursday.

Demands for RT to register under FARA may be faced by “adequate strictly balanced measures”by Moscow, Klimov added.

Image Of Possible Java Tiger Taken In Banten

Extinction of this majestic animal now in question

JAKARTA -

The photograph taken in Ujung Kulon, Banten, of a giant cat believed to be a Javan tiger is both exhilarating and depressing. Now there is hope that this rare species is not extinct, as was declared by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) in 1994. But it is also depressing as the photo, taken by a national park ranger, was released before there was any scientific proof that this feline actually is a Panthera tigris sondaica.

Panthera tigris sondaica
Releasing the photo of the animal complete with details of where it was found actually endangers the carnivore, although it is only 'suspected' to be a rare species. Hunters joyfully welcomed the report. Publishing the photo before any scientific examination has been done also shows that the government has no standard procedures in events like these. The Ministry of the Environment and Forestry ought to have brought in LIPI, or another large mammal research institution, to discuss the discovery before publishing the photo.

Confirmation of whether the photo really is of a Javan tiger has implications for the treatment of the animal.

If this tiger actually still exists in the wild, the government must immediately dispatch multiple teams to scrutinize its habitat, and also 'sterilize' the national park to ensure the tiger can continue to live in its current environment.

Releasing it without any accompanying scientific clarification is just the same as setting an animal-free without providing it any protection. The Ujung Kulon National Park is open for tourists, and its tropical forest, located on the western tip of the island of Java, is part of the main island and can be entered from the sea from any of its many beaches. Park rangers cannot stop people with bad intentions from entering the forest to prove the authenticity of the photo.

In Indonesia, trade in endangered animals is still widespread. Its customers come from the middle and upper classes, who are proud to own and exhibit stuffed endangered animals. Sadly, these collectors often include public officials or law enforcers, who really should have a better understanding of preserving our environment and the key role endangered animals play in the world's ecology.

Even more ironic is the official statement from LIPI scientists who analyzed the image of the 'tiger' from the pictures shown in the media. This gives the impression that government institutions do not collaborate with those carrying out research. LIPI's official statement of the photo-saying that it was most likely a leopard-sounded more like a tactic to divert the attention of potential poachers from the endangered animal.

Meanwhile, LIPI's conclusion is not supported by any valid data. LIPI only compared the morphology of the large cat in the photo with the other creatures in its surrounding area. It has no real data on the corporeal measurements of the Javan tiger. Indonesia, which is the sole country with this specific species habitats, should have this information at hand.

Loss of habitat due to farming was the main killer for this distinct subspecies of tiger that lived on the Indonesian island of Java; the last area where they lived was in the highest mountain of Java where a tiger was killed there in 1984, but by 1993 scientists couldn't find any evidence of tigers still living there

Accordingly, LIPI's statement carries with it the same uncertainties as the conviction of park rangers that this is a Javan tiger. It is now even more ironic that Indonesia, with tropical forests that are home to a range of endangered animals, still has little data on the wealth of its wildlife. The discovery of this large cat must spur scientific institutions to carry out serious research and expand their database.

We have already discussed in the first part of this analysis how the American geography dooms whoever controls the territory to being a global power, but there are a number of other outcomes that shape what that power will be like. The first and most critical is the impact of that geography on the American mindset.
