At least one bomb, detonated by two suicide bombers was detonated at the Kampung Melayu terminal in Jakarta. There terminal served as a transport hub for locals as was not frequented by tourists or used by foreign nationals.
Local police have reported three deaths, the two suspected bombers and a police officer. Ten injuries were also reported, five police officers and five civilians.
Witnesses also reported a second explosion approximately ten minutes later.
East Jakarta Police Chief Andry Wibowo indicated that judging from the damage to the terminal the deice was "pretty big."
East Jakarta police are now conducting an investigation after sealing the area. Traffic was snarled across the Tebet area and surrounding districts as commuters were re-routed.
Tensions have been running high in the city following the trial and conviction for blasphemy of former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, better known as "Ahok," who is now serving a two year prison sentence and is appealing his conviction.

There have so far been no claims of responsibility for the bombing.
