“Newspeak” And The Duplicity Of Mainstream "Journalism"

CNN, MSM frauds and CIA shills exposed for Syria war crimes as Congress plays with 1st Amendment fire

By Julian Rose

We are faced by a shocking fact these days: the profession of journalism, and I speak of mainstream media journalism, has descended into truly toxic levels of printed and broadcast disinformation.

One can now virtually count on the fact that what is being said on any topic of political significance, will be a carefully scripted trotting-out of government and corporate propaganda.

That is not journalism. That is what George Orwell called ‘Newspeak’.

It is a dangerous game which these news hacks are playing. They are witnessing one event and describing it as quite another event. Let me amplify this by looking at the stories emanating out of the Middle East.

It must be obvious to most of us by now that Russia, via Putin, is being held responsible for pretty much everything which is no longer working well for Western engineered neoliberal/neocon globalism. In fact, the stream of accusations against Putin’s Russia have descended into near or actual farce, due mainly to the fact that they are not backed by any factual evidence.

We are all simply supposed to ‘know’ that Mr Evil is at it again and that the West must ready itself to take action against his ‘tyrannical activities’.

Aleppo: BBC reports that returning pro Assad Syrian army troops are raping and murdering the civilian population of this once beautiful city in Northern Syria.

That thousands are trying to flee the massacre going on night and day at the hands of Assad’s army, supported by Russia and Iran. That a systematic bombardment of the citizens of West Aleppo is being perpetrated by the liberating Syrian army. That children are being killed in schools and that all this is being done with cold blooded ruthlessness at the hands of the liberators.

You’ve seen this sort of ‘journalism’. It is based on fictitious information concocted and spread about by paid-off insiders, hired to tell lies at ten a minute. They are there to protect the geopolitical interests of the West. As if to officially rubber stamp this fact, the US Senate recently introduced a bill attempting to ban any story line which might contradict such ‘official’ version of events. Especially those surrounding the defeat of ISIS and the liberation of Aleppo which had been occupied – and virtually starved out – by ISIS terrorists for the past four years.

Attempts to silence truth are a direct attack on free speech. And such attacks are endemic in Westminster and Washington, as we have long been aware. But what we have been less focused on is the fact that mainstream media journalists are one hundred percent complicit. They are equally as worthy of the title ‘criminals’ as the editors who pay them to lie and the politicians who use these lies to further their ambitions.

I strongly doubt that any BBC, or other mainstream Western journalist, has carried out an in-depth investigation in Aleppo during the past two weeks. They don’t have to. The propaganda machine works best when nobody looks the reality in the eye. They are simply puppets, singing the hymns that NATO, the EU and USA wants the world to hear.

Syrian "White Helmets"
What has just happened in Aleppo is actually a disarmingly opposite reality. The Syrian national army has completed its recapture of the town. Supported by Russia and Iran, it has finally driven out the bloodcurdling terrorist executioners who had held thousands of terrified Syrian citizens hostage and in fear of their lives. The liberating army has brought food and has reconnected disconnected drinking water supplies. It is providing medical services to the sick and wounded and busing others out of still active danger zones. It is being greeted with relief and tears of joy.

While, in comparison with the West, Russia has emerged as a relative powerhouse of studied diplomacy, as well as an effective military force in directly combating the US and UK’s gruesome hegemony.

ISIS, let us not fail to reveal, had even bombarded the people of Aleppo in their own homes, as a deliberate ploy so as to directly accuse Russia and Syria of engaging in these horrors. Western sponsored NGO’s are also complicit in inverting such news horror stories to sound like the evil is being perpetrated by President Asad’s national army. There is no end to the attempts being made to distort and reverse the truth.

CNN, MSM ignore Obama arming and funding
CIA/ISIS in Syria, Iraq, Libya
Now, let’s switch for a moment to that other closely related story of lies and deceit called ‘Fake News’. And, lo and behold, the gods of what is brazenly called ‘serious news’ (the mainstream media empire) are suddenly spooked by the fact that they might be loosing control over their people.

That the feast of lies is not being absorbed as readily as before and that a significant number of those still able to think are turning over to alternative sources of information, like this one, in search of something plausible.

Well, well, this is clearly something that must not be allowed to happen!

Let’s brand these clandestine truth seeking sites ‘Fake News’ outlets, spreading false propaganda and lies amongst our audiences! Let’s outlaw freedom of speech – err, I mean fake news – and impeach those who defie us. Yes, and now we ‘know’ Russia hacked into the US elections let’s try and get the West on a serious war footing and kick NATO into action against these anti Western infidels!

So what I have discovered concerning what actually occurred in Aleppo is now Fake News, and because I’m telling fake news I’m in danger of being criminalized and held up as a traitor of mainstream ‘serious’ news and no doubt my Country. Don’t worry, I’ve been on the front lines for years fighting the likes of Monsanto, Tesco and the European Union, and I’m not about to run and hide. .

In a heightened state of outrage a few days ago, I contributed the following comment to a discussion on fake news in The Guardian:

“You have just been reading a fake news column. Mainstream media = Fake News. It is under the unbending thumb of corporate control – and thus editors of papers, such as this one, are tools of a system that will only allow into print that which is expurgated and rid of any attempt to tell the truth, rather than the ‘news-speak’ acceptable to the status quo. End of story.”

The CNN, BBC frauds and CIA shills must be held individually and collectively responsible for war crimes in Syria

And somewhat to my surprise it was not moderated out of existence. It received support and dissent, but the support considerably outperformed the dissent. That’s interesting.

Please do take the time to click on the below link and watch the footage put together by ‘UK Column News’. It stands out like a beacon of light amidst the sea of darkness surrounding the issues I have described above.

Real journalism can now only be found on discerning alternative media sites. Please note that I said ‘discerning’. Main stream journalists who knowingly distort the truth, especially in life and death situations, should be considered as directly complicit in crimes against humanity.

“Russian Hacking”: THE CIA NEVER LIES?

CIA, Obama criminals, CNN continue to demonise Russia while providing ZERO proof of hacking

By Joe Clifford

Be honest now. Did you believe the US intelligence agencies when they claimed it was a “Slam Dunk” Iraq had WMD? That bit of propaganda cost 5,000 American lives, and more than a million Iraqi lives. To make matters even more horrible, 600,000 children under 5 years old died because of brutal sanctions.

They sold that war using fake, distorted evidence, and outright lies, to support their need for a war. They even introduced “forged” documents from Niger to sell the war.

Tragically the US public bought it, hook line and sinker, even though there were knowledgeable people who saw through the ruse. Experts who knew the intelligence was baseless, were ignored by mainstream media, and the propaganda by government and its mouthpiece, mainstream media, went unchallenged.

These intelligence agencies were the very same who did not foresee the fall of the Berlin wall until it was on the ground in pieces, nor did they see the destruction of the WTC until it too, was on the ground. And this would be the same CIA who this week, submitted a written apology to the Turkish government for making “false claims” about Turkey” oil trading with Daesh.

Now we are told the Russians interfered with our elections, but this time it is different. They don’t offer any evidence or proof whatsoever, let alone fake evidence. Their claims are based on anonymous sources, unnamed sources, and terms like “consensus view”, with not a shred of absolute proof.

Based on the Iraq lies, they learned you can sell the US public anything, if you just keep repeating the lie. The “Big Lie” theory is alive and well today. If you repeat something enough, it becomes fact. The intelligence agencies refused to brief congress, and they refused to brief the electors before voting for President. Why?

"Who, US?  LIE?"

There certainly are experts in the field who should know about the alleged hacking, but they are not allowed to disrupt mainstream media’s Russophobe frenzy. Bet you never saw William Binney on mainstream media.

Who is Binney? He is the guy who put together the NSA’s elaborate worldwide surveillance system. He has publicly stated on alternative news sites, that if something was “hacked”, the NSA would instantly know who, when, and whether the info was passed on to another party. He designed the system. He argues, there was no hacking for that very reason.

Binney insists the e-mails had to have been leaked by an “insider” who had access to the data. Never heard him on mainstream media huh? Next comes Craig Murray a former US Ambassador who claims he knows who leaked the e-mails, because he met with the individual in Washington D.C. Never heard him on mainstream media either huh?

Finally, Julian Assange, the man who released the e-mails. He insisted all along he never got the e-mails from Russia. Another no show on mainstream media. Whatever happened to the journalistic adage of going to the source?

Assange is the source, but no mainstream media journalist, and I use the term very loosely, has ventured to speak with him. The accusation has been repeated countless times, without any evidence, or consulting with any of the above three experts.

Because the big lie has been repeated so many times by corporate media, about half of the US public, according to a recent poll, believes Russia interfered, even though there is not a bit of evidence to support it. Once again they take the bait; hook, line, and sinker.

For believers of Russian hacking, I offer the following analogy. It might, but I doubt it will help, because you cannot undo the effect of propaganda. You are put on trial for murder that you did not commit.

The prosecutor and judge simply say they have reached a “consensus view”, the phrase offered by intelligence agencies, that you committed the murder and are guilty. You ask for proof. They offer none.

They just keep repeating that you did it. You challenge and ask how do you know I did it? Answer: we have anonymous sources, but we cannot tell you who they are, nor can we show you proof.

Just as in the fake run-up to the Iraq war, the expert voices of the opposition are not tolerated on mainstream media. Do these folks really want a war with Russia? Are they so upset with Trump’s pronouncement that he wanted better relations with Russia?

What sane person would not? Hmmm.

It appears there is a war already raging between the Russophobes, who do not want better relations with Russia, and are doing their best to smear and demonize Putin, and those who do. This is the same tactic used with Manuel Noriega of Panama, Muarmar Gaddafi, and Saddam Hussein, before they made war on all three. Demonize, then make war.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Shame on those who buy into propaganda without any proof.

Think about it and use a little logic.

Russia Removed From U.S. Top Threats List

Bad news for the U.S. military industrial complex, CIA, CNN, Congress warmongers, NATO Nazis

By Peter Korzun

The memo dated December 1 was obtained by Foreign Policy. It was written by Brian McKeon, the acting Undersecretary of Defense for Policy. The priorities were reportedly conveyed to him by Mira Ricardel, a co-leader of Trump’s Defense Department transition team.

The memo focuses on the fight against the Islamic State, boosting the efficiency of defense policy, eliminating caps from the Budget Control Act, improving force strength, size, and readiness of the armed forces as well as working on a new cyber strategy.

Until now, Russia has been listed as number one threat by US officials, including Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper emphasized that Russia was a special threat.

Evelyn Farkas, a former senior Pentagon official dealing with Russia, told Foreign Policy that Defense Department officials "would be pretty concerned" to see Moscow missing from the list. The removal of Russia from the top threats’ list is in stark contrast with the stance of Council on Foreign Relations, which believes that a potential Russia-NATO conflict is a top risk in 2017.

The Trump’s calls for better relations with Russia have influenced public opinion in Moscow’s favor. He has recently dismissed the affirmations made by US intelligence community that Russia hacked into Democratic Party systems during the election.

Obama warmongers, CIA, NSA, Congress lose their #1 bogeyman - and most likely a huge chunk of their funding

The nomination of Rex Tillerson for the position of State Secretary is viewed as a sign of the president-elect’s intention to shift on Russia policy.

Actually, it makes no sense for Washington to view Moscow as a top threat when both countries face one common enemy - the Islamic State and the like.

With arms control on the verge of collapse, tensions running high in Europe, a possible cyberwar at the door, hopes for cooperation in Syria frustrated, Russian diplomats activities in the US to be restricted and the Congress doing its best to prevent any thaw in the relationship, the time is right for turning the tide.

Gravy train of endless war coming to an end for Congress criminals

The United States’ failure to cooperate with Moscow on Syria resulted in a new format initiative launched by Russia, Turkey and Iran to address the issue. The group can be joined by other states, including the US. Donald Trump has stated that regime change in Syria would only cause more instability in the region. He believes that the Assad government stems the spread of terrorism.

The president-elect has suggested putting an end to the support for Syrian rebels. With Islamic State (IS) pushed out of, the parties could define the zones of influence and mutual obligations till international negotiations produce results.

Mr. Trump supports the idea of joining together with Russia. He said, "Wouldn't it be nice if we got together with Russia and knocked the hell out of ISIL (IS)?" President Bashar Assad said he was ready to cooperate with the US president-elect. If so, how come Russia or Syria could be viewed as top threats to the US?

There are many burning issues waiting to be addressed. This is the time to launch meaningful talks to tackle the arms control agenda as the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START) expires in February 2021 and the fate of the 1987 Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty is not certain.

NATO’s increased presence near its borders makes Russia take retaliatory measures. It increases the role of tactical nuclear forces in its military planning. Something should be done about the US-NATO ballistic missile defense (BMD) plans in Europe. It’s time to break the deadlock.

The B61-12 upgraded warheads deployed in Europe and the future of the plutonium agreement are also the problems to be addressed without delay in a constructive way.

There are chances to turn the tide. A group of European nations led by Germany has recently come up with a proposal to start talks on a new Russia-NATO arms control agreement to comprise regional caps on armaments, transparency measures, rules covering new military technology such as drones, and the ability to control arms even in disputed territories. The US can play the key role to make this proposal bring concrete results. The Russian and US leaders could launch a joint initiative to organize a OSCE-sponsored conference.

With Ukraine set aside as a separate problem, arms control talks could become a venue for dialogue on other pressing issues to be tackled within the framework of OSCE and the NATO-Russia Council. The agenda could encompass regional conflicts and the global fight against IS. Donald Trump has said he is ready to ally with Russia in the fight against the terrorist group. It could be a good start.

Libya appears to be an issue of common concern. This is a promising area of Russia-US cooperation. Joining together to address the problem of Afghanistan would also be a step in the right direction.

Lifting the anti-Russia sanctions would greatly enhance the prospects for success. As Politico puts it, Donald Trump can do it with a stroke of a pen. And he promises to consider this possibility.

At the recent meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he hoped for improvement of Russia-US relationship after a new president takes office in Washington. According to him, Russia and the United States should "break out of this vicious circle" and proceed to a new level of relations. The Russian president would welcome new agreements with the US on issues of common interest.

WWII:  U.S. and Russian forces link up on the Elbe

The absence of Russia in the US president-elect’s threats list is a symbolic sign to indicate the advent of new thinking and new approaches. There is a fresh wind blowing. Prone to business-like approach, the president-elect is set to turn the tide because he is independently minded and not tied to the "establishment."

He has demonstrated the ability to stand up to pressure and do things his way. At last, there is a chance for both countries to set aside the differences and address the issues of common interest.

WAYNE MADSEN: Obama’s Halloween Scare - Temperamentally Unfit President Threatened War With Russia

The world owes Putin a debt of gratitude for stopping this madman from sparking WWIII

By Wayne Madsen

If one wishes to believe NBC News’s «exclusive» report, President Barack Obama almost delivered the Halloween scare of all time on October 31, 2016, just a week before he accused Donald Trump of being "temperamentally unfit" to be commander-in-chief.

On Halloween, Obama activated the White House's "Red Phone" – which is not a phone but a Washington to Moscow "hot line" communications link that was originally a teletype connection, then a fax, and, finally, email – that provides a direct line to the Russian President in the Kremlin - and informed the Russian president that if alleged Russian hacking of computers tied to the U.S. election did not stop, the United States would respond with «armed conflict» against Russia.

Not since another fateful October, the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, had the United States come so close to an all-out war with Russia.

However, in the case of President John F. Kennedy, the presence of Soviet offensive nuclear-tipped missiles in Cuba were cited in U-2 photographic intelligence presented publicly by U.S. ambassador Adlai Stevenson before the United Nations Security Council. In the case of Obama, the only intelligence he possessed that alleged Russia was behind hacking Democratic National Committee (DNC) computers was a Secret report, not released to the public, ginned up by Obama's Sunni Wahhabi-crazed Central Intelligence Agency director John Brennan.

Obama, according to NBC News, warned Putin personally against hacking Democratic Party computers during the G-20 meeting in China in September. When Obama, obviously urged on by Brennan, felt the Russian hacking was continuing, he sent a stark message over the Red Phone to the Kremlin, in part stating, "International law, including the law for armed conflict, applies to actions in cyberspace."

While Obama and Brennan continue to refuse to present to the public the contents of the CIA's Secret report alleging Russian hacking of the DNC, they had no problem revealing that Obama almost pushed the nuclear trigger on Russia. Only a madman would resort to such action based on the flimsiest of intelligence from the Cold War-era troglodyte Brennan.

The only proof that the CIA and its contractors could offer up was that a group of hackers, known as "Fancy Bear," used an Android smart phone application developed by a Ukrainian artillery officer to target Soviet-era D-30 Howitzers that was purloined and re-purposed by the Russian military intelligence directorate against DNC computers.

Even Hollywood movie producers would reject such a script as too silly for film audiences to take seriously.

Obama's CIA psycho warmonger John Brennan

The Fancy Bear operation was concocted by a company called CrowdStrike, co-founded by a Russian-American named David Alperovitch, who just also happens to be a senior fellow at the CIA-linked Atlantic Council. News articles about CrowdStrike strongly suggest it exists to ratchet up cyber-war tensions with Russia, China, and North Korea based on hyped-up network security "vapourware" products being sold at top dollar prices to tech-ignorant government customers.

Obama sent his war message to Russia based on his "Fancy Bear" intelligence over a special email channel to reduce the risk of nuclear war resulting from cyber-security threats. The cyber-security email link was installed in 2013 as part of the hot line network linking by satellite the Nuclear Risk Reduction Centers in Washington, DC and Moscow. Little did the architects of the nuclear hot line realize that it would one day be used to proffer a "Fancy Bear" scenario that could have led to nuclear war.

Obama was acting upon the policies crafted by the neo-conservative Cold Warriors who continued to dominate his administration’s diplomatic and intelligence infrastructures as they had those of George W. Bush. These same neocon circles saw hope in the presence on the Trump team of the arch-neocon war hawk John Bolton, Bush’s Senate-rejected ambassador to the United Nations.

Jennifer Rubin of The Washington Post, a fierce neocon critic of Trump during and after the presidential campaign, wrote of her wish for Trump to follow the advice of Fred Kagan of the American Enterprise Institute, a member of the infamously-neocon Kagan family and brother-in-law of Obama’s Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland, the architect of Obama’s "color revolutions" in Ukraine and Macedonia. Kagan believes that Russia’s worst "sin" has been to "redraft the global order" laid down by the United States and NATO following the fall of the Soviet Union.

Kagan, Rubin, Nuland, and others in their neocon circle of war mongers hope that Trump will confront Russia militarily, as Napoleon Bonaparte had done in the 19th century. The neocons are not very good students of history, as the fate of Napoleon’s foray into Russia is well-known to even the most basic reader of European history. At the very least, Kagan has called on Trump to set the clock back to the Cold War era of Washington challenging Russia militarily in all the world’s hotspots: The Middle East, Asia, and Africa. In another tip of the hat to the Cold War, Kagan recommends that Trump refuse to recognize the retrocession of Crimea, the result of an overwhelming popular referendum favoring such retrocession, "no matter how permanent it seems to have become."

That same line of thinking could be adopted by Russia, which could announce that it recognizes the independent Kingdom of Hawaii, regardless of its forced annexation to the United States in 1898. If the neocons want to return to 19th century big power politics, so can Russia.

The vile Victoria "Fuck the DU" Nuland with Ukrainian Nazis

If the United States wants to continue to recognize Crimea as part of Ukraine, Russia can recognize Hawaii as an independent state and permit the "Hawaiian Kingdom Government" to establish an embassy in Moscow and accredit a Hawaiian government ambassador-in-exile. While such a dramatic measure might have been considered necessary had Hillary Clinton and her neocon war hawks won the U.S. presidential election, Trump’s oft-stated desire for much improved relations with Russia should render moot such extreme diplomatic countermeasures.

So far, Trump does not seem inclined to listen to the parasitical neocons who have infested every recent U.S. administration since Ronald Reagan’s. Trump would be wise to seek the counsel of those of his advisers who are not even remotely supportive of neocon dogma.

Trump will face the problem of cleaning house of the neocons currently embedded in the CIA and State Department. The neocon newspaper-of-record, The Wall Street Journal, has let it be known that the U.S. intelligence and foreign policy establishments should encourage anti-Russian protests by Islamic groups at Russian diplomatic missions in the Middle East and elsewhere. The paper appeared heartened by the assassination of the Russian ambassador to Turkey and the outbreak of protests by Islamist groups at Russian missions in Istanbul, Beirut, and Kuwait. The Journal wrote the killing of the Russian ambassador "was glorified throughout the region."

The neocons would relish in the United States encouraging jihadist groups to target Russian interests in the Middle East and elsewhere as they did during the Cold War when they nurtured jihadist groups to fight the Soviet armed forces in Afghanistan. That gambit led directly to the creation of the Taliban, Al Qaeda, and other terrorist groups. This would represent a turning back of U.S. policy to the late 1970s and 1980s, an era that represents the halcyon days for the war-mongering neocons.

The White House continues to insist that Obama's Halloween war message to Putin sunk in, since the alleged hacking is claimed to have ceased on November 8, Election Day. However, DNC acting chair Donna Brazile claims the hacking continued on and past Election Day. If Brennan and his fellow war-mongers had actual evidence that Russia had been behind the hacks, then why do they continue to insist that the hacking stopped on November 8, when Brazile clearly claims they had not? The easiest explanation is that the Russian government was not the source of the computer hacking events and they were being carried out by some other party or were invented by the "Fancy Bear" fabulists at CrowdStrike. Perhaps some interests wanted an Election Day war to begin with Russia, which would mean a declaration by Obama of a national state of emergency and a postponement of the election, as had occurred in New York City on September 11, 2001, the previous time the Red Phone was used by the White House.

Had Obama authorized a military strike on Russia on Election Day, the civilian U.S. government would have morphed into the secret government where the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Defense's Northern Command would have replaced the U.S. Congress and the courts as the government of the United States. It is likely that there would have never been an election, let alone a president-elect Trump.

We have already discussed in the first part of this analysis how the American geography dooms whoever controls the territory to being a global power, but there are a number of other outcomes that shape what that power will be like. The first and most critical is the impact of that geography on the American mindset.

On October 12, 2002 the Indonesian island of Bali experienced a terrorist attack that rocked the world. It was unquestionably well-coordinated and executed, the largest in the country's history.
