Drug - Resistant Strain Of Shigella Spreading In U.S.

CDC fails to mention "novel" bacteria is man-made and released in order to further their never-ending quest to "cull the herd" in American and the world; shigella treated with Bactrim DS

NEW YORK -

A drug-resistant strain of a nasty stomach bug made its way into the U.S. and spread, causing more than 200 illnesses since last May, health officials said Thursday.

Shigella
Many cases were traced to people who had recently traveled to the Dominican Republic, India or other countries.

Outbreaks of the shigella bacteria are not unusual, but this strain is resistant to the antibiotic most commonly prescribed for adults.

"This is the first time we've documented this large an outbreak of antibiotic-resistant (shigella) linked to international travel," said Dr. Anna Bowen of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Since last May, the imported superbug has sickened at least 243 people, with large recent outbreaks in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and California.

Shigella is a common cause of diarrhea. The bacteria spread very easily through contaminated food or pools and ponds. Outbreaks also are common at daycare centers when staff members don't wash their hands well enough after changing diapers.

"Washing your hands with soap and water is important for everyone. Also, international travelers can protect themselves by choosing hot foods and drinking only from sealed containers," said Bowen.

DO NOT DELAY SEEKING TREATMENT
when symptoms manifest themselves
For most people, it's an unpleasant but temporary illness that ends within a week and can be helped with over-the-counter medicines like Pepto-Bismol or Imodium.

Sometimes antibiotics are used: usually azithromycin for children and ciprofloxacin, sold as Cipro, for adults.

"These outbreaks show a troubling trend in Shigella infections in the United States," said CDC Director Tom Frieden, M.D., M.P.H. "Drug-resistant infections are harder to treat and because Shigella spreads so easily between people, the potential for more -- and larger -- outbreaks is a real concern."

DO NOT believe the lies of the CDC
"We're moving quickly to implement a national strategy to curb antibiotic resistance because we can't take for granted that we'll always have the drugs we need to fight common infections."

The past few years, health officials have been detecting shigella bugs resistant to azithromycin.

The Cipro-resistant superbug has sickened people in 32 states and Puerto Rico.

"It's moving itself around the country," but it's too early to know if the superbug has rooted in the United States for good, Bowen said.

Pile Of Dough : Indiana Pizzeria Raises $600k After Anti - Gay Remarks Go Viral

A clear-cut First Amendment issue in America as gays have finally, irrevocably stepped over the line; here is nothing "normal" about homosexuality, and attempting to force their perversions on the majority population have now brought the chickens home to roost: Most people simply do not care what they do, as long as they do not have to look at it and pretend or be forced by elitist, "politically correct" governments to view it as a "human right" in their failed attempt to bring society down to the lowest common denominator in order to control it

A family-owned pizzeria in Indiana, which caused a commotion recently over its stance on the state’s altered “religious freedom” law, has raised half-a-million dollars after going public with its anti-gay views.

The new "normal" in America
Backers of an online crowdfunding campaign have pledged over $638,000 to Memories Pizza of Walkerton, IN as of lunchtime on Friday this week. This comes two days after a conservative talk radio program asked its audience to consider making donations amid an onslaught of criticism directed at the eatery. The uproar resulted from its owner’s endorsement of the state’s controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act, or RFRA.

Indiana Governor Mike Pence signed his name to RFRA last week, in turn authorizing a bill that critics said would allow state businesses to discriminate against customers based on sexual orientation, among other factors.

Amid mounting national backlash waged by civil rights advocates, Indiana lawmakers drafted changes to the act on Thursday. It was promptly signed by the governor later that evening.

Memories had already made headlines coast to coast by then, and is now seeing more dough than even the busiest of pizzerias are accustomed to.

One businessman has finally had enough of gay intimidation

On Tuesday this week, the pizzeria's proprietors told a local news affiliate they would refuse to cater for a wedding for a same-sex couple—a right provided to them under the RFRA.

Will it soon be legal for homosexuals to kill hundreds
of innocent people because they are "having a bad day?"
"If a gay couple was to come and they wanted us to bring pizzas to their wedding, we'd have to say no,"Memories owner Crystal O'Connor told South Bend’s WBND-TV on Tuesday this week. “That's a lifestyle that you choose. I choose to be heterosexual. They choose to be homosexual. You can't beat me over the head with something they choose to be,” added her husband, Kevin O'Connor.

The O’Connor’s comments were quickly circulated outside Indiana and soon went viral. The eatery immediately became the face of a much-larger movement waged against the state’s alleged license to discriminate.

The attention eventually prompted the store to temporarily close this week amid supposed security concerns.

"Politically correct" CNN believes it is "O.K." to have a
fraud, untrained pedophile on staff, reading the "news"
to a mainly unsuspecting public audience
On Tuesday, an area high school teacher was suspended without pay after writing on Twitter that she wanted to burn Memories to the ground.

Local law enforcement has ramped up police presence in Walkerton, 20 miles southwest of South Bend. While the O’Connor’s remarks expectedly drew fire right away from opponents of the so-called religious freedom law, one of the early catchers-on was an employee of conservative radio host Dana Loesch’s daily talk show.

The pizza proprietors appeared on the program to discuss the aftermath of the WBND interview on Wednesday and evidently impressed the show’s audience.

Lawrence Jones, a colleague of Loesch, launched a crowdfunding campaign on Wednesday with the goal of raising $25,000 for the O’Connors.

CNN also believes that it's "O.K." to employ a convicted, homosexual deviant methhead on staff and then fob him off on the public as an "airline expert" to cover for their airline corporate criminal masters and justify the actions of a mass-murdering pilot because he was a homosexual

According to Jones, his “intent was to help the family stave off the burdensome cost of having the media parked out front, activists tearing them down and no customers coming in.” In less than 48 hours, however, he has helped elevate the family half-way to millionaire status.

"Our goal was simply to help take one thing off this family's plate as the strangers sought to destroy them," Jones wrote. "But other strangers came to the rescue and the total just keeps going up."

More than 21,000 donations were submitted through the GoFundMe page as of Friday afternoon — or around ten-times the population of Walkerton.

Canadian Teacher Jailed For 10 Years For Sexually Abusing Children At JIS

More trouble brewing for JIS as another employee participated in Islamic fundamentalist attack on English teacher's home after closing children's English school in Palabali; 5th Estate report including CCTV of attack coming soon

A Canadian teacher was jailed for ten years today after being found guilty of sexually abusing children at an elite international school in Indonesia.

Neil Bantleman
Neil Bantleman, who also holds British nationality, was afforded one final kiss from his wife before being led away by police after the verdict was handed down.

The sentence sparked outrage from his supporters, including the school itself and the international community, who insist he is innocent and expressed concern over the rule of law in Indonesia.

In a packed courtroom, the administrator was convicted of abusing three young boys at the Jakarta Intercultural School, which has for decades been favoured by expatriates and wealthy Indonesians.

Also standing trial for abusing the children is Ferdinand Tjiong, an Indonesian teaching assistant at the school. A verdict on his case was to be handed down later today.

Both men, who have strongly denied committing abuse, received backing from the school, parents, and the international community.

Their supporters have said the case is deeply flawed and motivated by a bid by one alleged victim's family to get compensation from the school.

Jakarta International School
Following the verdict, Canada and Britain called for the authorities to follow due legal process, while America said it was 'deeply disappointed' and warned it could damage Indonesia's reputation.

After nine hours reading the verdict at South Jakarta District Court, presiding judge Nur Aslam said that Bantleman was guilty of abusing the children.

'The defendant did not admit his crime or express regret for his deeds, nor did he apologise for what he did, which psychologically damaged underage children,' she said.

He was sentenced to ten years in jail and ordered to pay a fine of 100 million rupiah (£5,200).

Prosecutors had sought a 12-year term.

To applause and cheers from his supporters, who included many parents at the school, Bantleman said that he would appeal the verdict: 'We will continue to fight until the truth comes out.'

Her voice breaking with emotion, his wife Tracy Bantleman said that she was 'deeply disturbed and appalled by the decision of the panel of judges.

'They have absolutely, utterly ignored evidence in support of my husband'.

The scandal, which erupted in April last year with accusations of abuse levelled at cleaning staff, has sparked deep unease among Jakarta's expatriate community and foreign governments alike.

U.S. ambassador to Indonesia, Robert Blake, said there were serious questions about 'the investigative process and lack of credible evidence against the teachers'.

'We are deeply disappointed with this outcome... the broad international community is following this case closely.

'The outcome of the legal process and what it reveals about the rule of law in Indonesia will have a significant impact on Indonesia's reputation abroad.'

The British Embassy in Jakarta said in a statement there were 'concerns about irregularities in this case'.

Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Rob Nicholson said that Canada had 'called for a fair and transparent trial throughout the judicial process'.

Accusations of assault at the school - formerly known as the Jakarta International School - initially sparked horror among the expatriate community.

But the focus soon shifted to what supporters say was an unfair attempt to target Bantleman and Tjiong by Indonesia's notoriously corrupt police and judicial system.

Supporters have accused police of a botched investigation, and point to unfair trials, which the judge closed to the public as they involved children.

The court was open to the public for the reading of the verdicts.

The prosecution insists that the testimony of the alleged victims, all boys, is the truth and that their claims are backed up by evidence from medical examinations.

However, the defence argues the medical exams were flawed.

Fundamentalists riot in front of English teacher's home threatening to burn it down; one teacher an Indonesian national and wife of American English teacher and retired journalist; fundamentalists looted, trashed newly finished English school howling that teachers and the school were "Taking their children away from Islam," threatening to burn down their home and kill both

The men have said the decision to prosecute them revolved around a separate lawsuit filed by the family of one of the alleged victims, which demands $125million in compensation from the school.
