Saudi Arabia has become the key sponsor of terrorism across the world attempting to disseminate the Takfiri ideology, a political analyst tells Press TV.
“Now the main protector and incubator of all terrorist groups around the Arab world and around the world is Saudi Arabia itself,” said Redwan Rizk in a Friday interview.
The analyst pointed to reports that the Al Saud regime has relieved its spymaster, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, of his duties in spearheading the kingdom’s mission in the Syria crisis.
According to a new report by the Wall Street Journal, Saudi royal advisors say the removal of Prince Bandar from the task may lead to smoother Riyadh-Washington relations.
Rizk said sponsorship of terrorism “is not coming from Bandar as a person. It is a policy of the kingdom, it is the policy of the family to spread Wahhabism under any possible way they can.”

“Saudi Arabia is trying to shine its image in front of the nations and trying to cover up its acts on the ground against all these crimes.”
He said Saudi authorities should be tried for as criminals of war and criminals against humanity. They are creating danger to the world.”
The analyst touched on Saudi Arabia’s role in the Syria crisis and said that many former officers of the Saudi army are now training an army of al-Qaeda forces in Jordan to operate in southern Syria in the near future.
In the past years, Prince Bandar has presided over Saudi Arabia’s anti-Damascus operations with little success. There has been no mention of Bandar in Saudi media outlets since January. He was reportedly in a hospital in the United States for treatment and is currently living in Morocco.
