The CIA Al Jazeera Pussy Riot Con Game - GRAPHIC IMAGES, VIDEO

CIA Al Jazeera on orders from master Obama floods "mainstream media" with anti-Russian/anti-Putin hit pieces as revenge for harboring American hero Edward Snowden; attempts to sanitize, promote Pussy Riot Deviants

The controversy behind the Punk Rock group Pussy Riot and the issue of freedom of expression in Russia raised concern for activists and celebrities across the world. The court sentenced each member to two years in prison with the charge of “hooliganism motivated by religious hatred” for the “Punk Prayer” protest at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour of the Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow back in February of 2012. It was a protest song against the re-election of Vladimir Putin.

Wholesome, family-oriented, "martyrs"
The U.S. and British media and the opposition in Russia started a propaganda campaign accusing Putin of influencing Russia’s judicial process on the court’s decision made on members Yekaterina Samutsevich, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, and Maria Alyokhina . International organizations such as Human Rights Watch condemned the ruling in The Huffington Post with the headline that read “Pussy Riot: Band Members’ Conviction a Blow to Free Expression”. Human Rights Watch was critical of the Russian court’s decision “The conviction of three members of the Russian feminist punk band Pussy Riot on August 17, 2012 is inappropriate and disproportionate.

The three women were convicted on charges of hate-motivated hooliganism and sentenced to two years in prison”. Amnesty International also stated that they were “prisoners of conscience”. Music Celebrities Madonna, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sting and many others voiced their support. The world is appalled by the courts decision because freedom of expression is under attack in Russia and Putin should be held accountable. This is what the media, human rights organizations such as Amnesty International (UK) and Human Rights Watch (US) along with music celebrities want you to believe.

CIA Al Jazeera attempts to sanitize Pussy Riot for Obama
But let’s look at some facts about Pussy Riot and their history of artistic expression. First, Pussy Riot is an offshoot punk rock band that was formed after their street-art group “Voina” (which means “War” in Russian).

The Group practiced performance art with political messages but eventually split up. Voina came on the scene on May 1st, 2007 when they threw live cats at a McDonalds’ restaurant counter in Moscow.

They claimed that they wanted “to break-up the drudgery of worker’s routine day”. Animal activists would have been angered by Voina’s cruelty to the cats used in the incident.Voina rejected societal norms such as gainful employment and the use of money. Their views on the system enabled them to steal food and beverages from grocery stores which they considered a form of art. In 2008, they staged an orgy as an example of artistic expression in Moscow’s Timiryazev State Musuem of Biology.

By the way, Voina member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova who participated in the orgy was 9-months pregnant and gave birth 4 days later to a baby girl, a fact that the media forgot to tell you about. In 2010, Voina was back in the spotlight; one of the member’s stuffed a frozen chicken in her vagina in a St. Petersburg “Nakhoda” supermarket while being filmed by another member and walked out without paying for it.

And yes, this is art. After all, we should appreciate art for its beauty and its meaning behind it, right? In 2010, Voina overturned a police car in order to get a ball that was under the car that belonged to a member’s son.

After the group split due to internal strife, Pussy Riot was founded in August 2011. Their first public performance was in November 2011 when several masked women performed Osvobodi Bruschatku (“Release the Cobblestones”) on top of a scaffold in a Moscow subway, while tearing apart feather pillows allowing the feathers to fall onto the train platform.

Now this is art! Later that month, several members played “Kropotkin Vodka” on the roof of an automobile that was displayed in a shopping district. The performers discharged fire extinguishers into the air. Others members displayed themselves masturbating inside the windows of a fashion boutique. They raided the stage of a fashion show by interrupting the catwalk of the models. On January 20, 2012, they played a song on the Lobnoye Mesto in Red Square, entitled Putin Zassal (“Putin Pissed Himself”) and lit a smoke bomb. Members were arrested and briefly detained for the incident.

The actions committed by the former group Voina and now Pussy Riot would have been arrested and jailed in most countries throughout the world. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch are used as “credible” institutions that voice concern over human rights issues are clearly cherry picking Pussy Riot’s verdict in an attempt to create an anti-Kremlin stance.

Is it possible that Washington and London is using what Tri-Lateral commission member and Harvard Professor Joseph Nye describes in his book “Soft Power”. A strategy used by the United States that funds, promotes, and trains internal opposition groups, human rights activists, and pro-democracy groups to create a destabilizing situation within a country that Washington seeks to change.

It can also be that Pussy Riot is seeking fame through controversial acts they consider art. They never produced any albums or paintings. Are they true artists? Their songs and videos were described by an Associated Press article on August 18, 2012 as “Badly recorded, based on simple riffs and scream-like singing, the feminist singers were dismissed by many critics and listeners as amateur, provocative and obscene”.Why Madonna (who had her own controversy with her video “Like a Prayer” that angered the Catholic Church due to the sexual content between her and a black angel) and other famous artists gave their blind support for a group like Pussy Riot?

Do they hate Putin? Are they for the freedom of expression of all artists, talented or not? Or are they just voicing their support for media attention to get on the political bandwagon? Pussy Riot is not a musical talent. They were not even known throughout the world until the “Punk Prayer” incident. But the one thing can be said about Pussy Riot is that they were involved in acts that were absurd.

It is disturbing to see the members of Pussy Riot, a relatively young group engaged in such acts they consider art.

The "defenders of free speech" in Mother Russia
It is actually a sad situation for young people across the world to see a group of so-called artists to perform in ways that are appalling. Although Putin did not agree with Pussy Riot’s action at the Church, he said “nonetheless, I do not think that they should be judged severely for this.” Perhaps he sees them as a group of troubled individuals or a group that is seeking fame, but one thing is certain, the world is spending too much time and energy on a punk rock group that has no talent or morals that disrespected Russian Orthodox Christians no matter if you agree or disagree with any form of religion. It is disrespectful. However, Pussy Riot should not be imprisoned. At most they should be fined and released everytime they are arrested for their public performances. Do not give them the opportunity to gain notoriety on the world stage.

Putin laughing ass off at Al JAzeera, Pussy Riot freaks
The best thing that the world would do for Pussy Riot is to ignore them because they have no talent. Plain and simple. They are a fraud, a con job. They will fade away from the public eye and justly so because people do not see them as talented musicians, they see them as individuals who go to the extreme to prove a political point through performance art, one that leaves a bad taste in people’s mouths.

Putting them behind bars would only elevate them to stardom. The Pussy Riot case is one example how the West uses certain groups to create instabilities in Russia by dividing the people over freedom of expression and other political issues. Pussy Riot was the answer for the enemies of Russia. Hopefully the Russian courts would overturn their sentence and release all members of Pussy Riot. If Pussy Riot were to serve in prison, it would only add credibility to their cause and this would allow them to gain recognition as celebrities. Do them no favors.

U.S. Prepares Strikes Against Islamists In Iraq

Obama criminals now seek to destroy evidence of their supplying weapons to the very scum they initially armed and funded; CIA responsible for Christmas day Baghdad bombings

WORLD SOCIALIST WEBSITE
By Bill Van Auken
12/27/2013

Two years after President Barack Obama declared that his administration had ended the catastrophic US war in Iraq “responsibly… leaving behind a sovereign, stable and self-reliant” government, the US has rushed emergency shipments of Hellfire missiles to Baghdad and appears to be preparing for a possible renewal of direct military intervention in the form of drone missile attacks.

These measures are a response to an appeal from the government of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, the New York Times reported Thursday, and come in the face of a rise in violence to a level not seen since the US military “surge” of 2008, with over 8,000 Iraqis having lost their lives over the last year.

A shipment of 75 Hellfire missiles arrived in Iraq last week, according to the Times report.

The Pentagon is also set to deliver dozens of reconnaissance drones to the Baghdad regime in the coming year, along with F-16 fighters and Apache helicopter gunships. US intelligence is also providing targeting information for Iraqi air strikes.

Military experts cited by the Times, however, expressed skepticism that the Iraqi military, even with such material assistance, will prove capable of defeating a growing Al Qaeda-affiliated insurgency in the country’s predominantly Sunni Anbar province.

The prospect for a more direct US military intervention through the launching of a drone airstrike campaign has been raised in recent months by Iraq’s foreign minister, Hoshyar Zebari.

Last Sunday, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki signaled the escalating US involvement in Iraq, declaring that Al Qaeda-connected insurgents were “seeking to gain control of territory inside the borders of Iraq” and describing these elements as the “common enemy of the United States and the Republic of Iraq, and a threat to the greater Middle East region.”

This “threat,” however, is one of Washington’s own making, and the “common enemy” in Iraq has been the de facto proxy force of US imperialism’s war for regime-change in neighboring Syria.

Obama's murdering CIA scum responsible for Christmas bombing
The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, known by the initials ISIS, has claimed responsibility for some of the latest terrorist attacks inside Iraq, including the bombing on Monday of two television stations in Baghdad in which five journalists died.

The group was suspected of being behind the horrific Christmas Day bombings in Christian areas of the Iraqi capital that killed at least 38 on Wednesday, including 24 who died from a bomb that went off as they left Christmas mass.

The ISIS had its origins in Iraq during the US military occupation of the country. Its resurgence has come as a byproduct of the US-backed war for regime-change in Syria, across Iraq’s eastern border, where it has battled forces loyal to the Syrian government and seized swathes of territory.

Last month, the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) described the ISIS, which includes thousands of foreign jihadis from as far away as Russia and Western Europe, as “the strongest group in Northern Syria.”

From Syria, the group has dispatched suicide bombers to attack government targets in Iraq as well as Shia and Christian communities.

The group has also revived its training camps and hideouts in the western desert of Anbar province. In an ambush there last Saturday, it killed some 18 Iraqi military personnel, including a major general who commanded the local army division and several other senior officers.

U.S. military will mutiny if ordered back into Iraq
On Tuesday, the Iraqi government ordered the military to close the country’s border with Syria as part of a major military operation against Al Qaeda-associated forces in the area dubbed “Avenge the Leader Mohammed,” after Maj. Gen. Mohammad al-Karawi, the division commander killed in last Saturday’s attack.

Iraqi Defense Ministry spokesman Mohammed al-Askari told the AFP news agency that the military had detected “the arrival of weapons and advanced equipment from Syria to the desert of western Anbar and the border of Nineveh province.”

He added that intelligence indicated that “whenever there is pressure on armed groups in Syria, they withdraw to Iraq … to regroup and then carry out terrorist operations in the two countries.”

The US aid to the counterinsurgency operation by the Iraqi military is being carried out in conjunction with the reconfiguration of US policy toward the Syrian civil war in the wake of the Obama administration’s pullback from direct US military intervention last September and its reaching of agreements both on the chemical disarmament of the Syrian regime and the Iranian nuclear program.

"Mainstream media" will be held accountable
Washington has also been forced to confront the rout of the so-called “moderate” forces of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), which it had officially been backing against the government of President Bashar al-Assad, and the growing dominance of Islamists of various stripes among the so-called “rebels.” Earlier this month, the Obama administration cut off aid to the Syrian armed opposition after Islamist guerrillas of the recently formed Islamic Front overran a compound and a dozen weapons warehouses of the FSA’s Supreme Military Council in Babisqa, just south of the strategic Bab al-Hawa border crossing with Turkey.

US-backed commander Gen. Salim Idriss, the titular head of the FSA, was sent fleeing across the border into Turkey.

With the FSA and its political arm, the National Coalition, exposed as representing virtually nothing outside of a clique of Syrian exiles tied to the CIA and other western intelligence agencies, the Obama administration instructed its Syrian envoy Robert Ford to make contact with the Islamic Front in the hope of developing it as a Western-aligned “third force” between Al Qaeda and the Syrian regime.

Of immediate concern is next month’s US-Russian brokered talks, known as “Geneva II,” in which representatives of the Syrian government have agreed to sit down with opposition delegates.

The negotiators for both sides are supposed to be named today, December 27. The problem confronting the US and the other Western powers is that the forces they have backed are being exposed as having virtually no support within Syria itself, either among those carrying out attacks against the regime or in the society at large.

The Islamic Front, which is apparently funded by Saudi Arabia, rejected the US overtures and has reportedly established a close working relationship with the ISIS and the Al Nusra Front, another Al Qaeda-associated force in Syria.

In backing the Iraqi regime, which has aligned itself with the Assad government in Syria and the Iranian government against the Sunni Islamists, the Obama administration is attempting to at least contain the catastrophic sectarian civil war it has unleashed upon Syria. There remain deep divisions in Washington over how to handle this debacle, with some elements still denouncing Obama for failing to make good on his vow that Assad would be toppled, and others arguing that Assad staying in power would be preferable to the fall of Syria to the jihadists.

In aiding the corrupt, sectarian and dictatorial government of al-Maliki, however, Washington is only deepening the crisis in the region. Al Qaeda’s resurgence in Iraq is driven by not only the US-backed war in neighboring Syria, but also by the political marginalization of and heavy-handed repression against Iraq’s Sunni minority.

In launching the latest offensive in Anbar, Prime Minister al-Maliki issued a simultaneous threat to unleash a bloodbath against an ongoing sit-in protest in Ramadi, Anbar’s largest city. In a statement broadcast on Iraqi television last Sunday, al-Maliki declared that the sit-in “has turned into a headquarters for the leadership of Al Qaeda.” He demanded that all those not involved in “sabotage” evacuate the protest camp “so that Al Qaeda stays alone,” adding that protesters had a “very short period” in which they could escape the implied threat of repression.

Last April, the army raided a similar Sunni protest encampment in Hawija, west of Kirkuk, leaving at least 42 people dead and 153 wounded. In clashes that followed over the next two days, hundreds more were killed.

“War Is Good for Business” : Military Spending Is Destroying The US Economy, Boosting the Production Of Weapons Of Mass Destruction

Passage of Budget Bill Is not a Victory for the American People … Only for the Military-Industrial Complex

D.C. and the mainstream media are trumpeting the passage of a budget bill as a victory for bipartisanship and the American people. But the truth is very different.

We’ve repeatedly documented that military waste and fraud are the core problems with the U.S. economy.

For example, we’ve noted that we wouldn’t be in a budget crisis in the first place if we hadn’t spent so much money on unnecessary wars … which are killing our economy.

But it goes far beyond actual fighting. We could easily slash the military and security budget without reducing our national security.

For example, homeland security agencies wasted money on seminars like “Did Jesus Die for Klingons Too?” and training for a “zombie apocalypse” instead of actually focusing on anti-terror efforts.

Republican Senator Tom Coburn notes that the Department of Defense can reduce $67.9 billion over 10 years by eliminating the non-defense programs that have found their way into the budget for the Department of Defense.

BusinessWeek and Bloomberg point out that we could slash military spending without harming our national security. Indeed, we could slash boondoggles that even the generals don’t want.

BusinessWeek provides a list of cost-cutting measures which will not undermine national security. American Conservative does the same

Moreover, we’ve shown that the military wastes and “loses” (cough) trillions of dollars. See this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this and this.

Reuters notes:

$8.5 trillion in taxpayer money doled out by Congress to the Pentagon since 1996, the first year it was supposed to be audited, has never been accounted for. That sum exceeds the value of China’s economic output last year.

The People Want Peace, But D.C. Wants War

For the first time, a majority of Americans think that we should never have started the war in Afghanistan. As the Washington Post reports

Americans express near-record discontent and regret over the 13-year war in Afghanistan, during which 2,289 U.S. troops have died and more than 19,000 have been wounded, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll

Fully 66 percent of Americans say the battle, which began with nearly unanimous support, has not been worth fighting

In a separate Associated Press-GfK poll released Wednesday, 57 percent of Americans said the United States did “the wrong thing” in going to war with Afghanistan, with mixed feelings toward keeping troops in the country past 2014.

The same is true in Iraq.

And the American people don’t want to go to war against Syria, Iran or anywhereelse.

But D.C. politicians do a lot of fundraising from defense contractors and make a lot of money from inside trading related to military spending.

And war helps distract people from the economic mess that the politicians are largely responsible for (the old distraction trick.)

And so – as the L.A. Times, Mother Jones and Counterpunch report – Washington has just passed a budget which will strip away the so-called “sequester defense cuts”, and gear up for a new series of wars.

As usual, government policy will make the rich richer and everyone else poorer.

It will keep the bloated defense industry fat and happy … while making everyone else poorer, and gutting the civilian economy.

Nationalities of dead service members unclear after Taliban claim responsibility for car bombing in east of capital

A suicide car bomber attacked a convoy of international troops in an eastern district of the Afghan capital Kabul on Friday, killing three service members and wounding six Afghans, officials said.

A Taliban spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, said the insurgent group was behind the attack. Television images showed remains of the exploded car in the street, and several armoured vehicles stopped nearby.

The bomber struck the convoy about half a mile from Nato's Camp Phoenix base, according to a Kabul police spokesman, Hashmat Stanakzai, who reported the Afghan injuries.

The International Security Assistance Force did not provide details on the identities or nationalities of the three service members killed.

Twelve coalition troops have died in Afghanistan so far this month, including six US soldiers who died in a helicopter crash on 17 December.

So far this year 151 coalition troops have been killed in Afghanistan, according to a tally kept by the Associated Press.

Does 'No Such Agency' Mean No Such Democracy?

What democracy?

WORLD NEWS
By Dallas Darling
12/27/2013

Unlike the Central Intelligence Agency, which was brought into being by an act of congressional representatives, the National Security Agency (NSA) was founded by a secret presidential signature. For this reason it was jokingly referred to as the "No Such Agency," and it is for this reason that it is extremely anti democratic, a nemesis to and destroyer of popular rule and culture. Even the date, November 4, 1952, was deliberately chosen to keep it out of the news, to prevent the American people from knowing what a few elected officials were doing. All other events that day were overshadowed by the election of the Republican candidate, Dwight D. Eisenhower.(1)

The NSA possessed the largest bank of computers in the world, sitting in a 1.4-million-square-foot basement.(2) It had unlimited resources and was staffed with 10,000 employees. Its purpose was two-fold. First, all kinds of foreign and domestic data and communications would be collected and analyzed. Secondly, this information and knowledge, both private and public, would be used to establish and maintain all kinds of policies.

Starting with President Dwight Eisenhower, an elite and exclusive cadre of individuals have been privy to "seized" information and analysis, using it to bolster their own convictions, pursue their own agendas, or to manipulate the public.

Initially, the NSA relied on burglary as well as state-of-the-art technology. Cryptanalytic coups required information about the ciphers under attack to assist the code breakers. It penetrated foreign embassies to plant bugs and steal material. Seized communications influenced foreign affairs.(3)

During the Vietnam Era, telegraph and phone companies turned over all communications to the NSA. While working with the Army, it closely spied on over 600 Americans, sent agents into anti-war movements, and burglarized "peace" houses and offices. When Congress tried to investigate for possible breaches and abuses of power, it claimed no relationship existed, that it was able to do as it pleased.(4)

In support of U.S. government "activities" under the Department of Defense, the No Such Agency continues to coordinate, direct, and perform highly specialized intelligence at home and abroad. Today it has at its disposal a two-billion-dollar electronic intelligence compound in Utah, known as the Total Information Awareness project.

The information is power and very undemocratic, since it is used to manipulate and control foreign and public opinion and policies, even people.

This warrantless surveillance program, veiled in a complex of shrouded secrecy, collects private e-mails, cell phone calls, Google searches, and other personal data like medical records and what one purchases.

EdwardSnowden just spoke of this when he said how certain groups in government have worked in concert, "have created a system of worldwide mass surveillance, watching everything we do." He went on to say that censors are in peoples pockets that track everything they do and everywhere they go, and that a child born today will grow up with no conception of privacy at all.

At the same time, they will never know what it means to have a private moment to themselves, an unrecorded, unanalyzed thought. That is a problem since privacy maters, privacy is what allows us to determine who we are and who we want to be.

The battle between democracy and tyranny is always won in the private moments, the private thoughts and habits of the individual or small group citizenry. Without privacy, there can be no freedom and democracy. The NSA realized this in deciding to push for and encourage off the shelf technologies,(5) so as to expand its mass surveillance and collection of information for the purpose of manipulating the public. Neither can there be democracy without an historical identity and awareness. The NSA still keeps millions of classified documents from historians, and in doing so prevents the American people from really understanding and knowing about their nation's past.(6)

But always remember: there is No Such Agency, there is no such thing as democracy, and an Orwellian world only exists in novels.

FBI Allowed Informants To Commit 6,000 Crimes In 2012

FBI criminals allowing fellow criminals to commit crimes against the very people they are sworn to protect; Americans paying to be victimized with own tax dollars

PRESS TV
12/27/2013

The FBI allowed its informants to break the law at least 5,939 times last year, a 5 percent jump from 2011, according to a newly disclosed document.

In a Jan. 14, 2013, letter to Justice Department officials, obtained by The Huffington Post through a Freedom of Information Act request, FBI officials disclosed that its 56 field offices authorized informants to break the law at least 5,939 times during the 2012 calendar year. USA Today reported earlier this year that the bureau allowed its informants to break the law 5,658 times in 2011.

The breakdown of how many crimes were authorized by each individual FBI field office were redacted from the 2012 report, which is known as the Otherwise Illegal Activity Report. The FBI's fellow federal law enforcement agencies -- the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives -- do not track how often their sources commit crimes.

As USA Today explained in its earlier report, DOJ ordered the FBI to track crimes by informants over a decade ago, after it became public that the Boston field office allowed mob boss James "Whitey" Bulger to continue to operate his crime ring because he was providing information to the bureau.

"It sounds like a lot, but you have to keep it in context," former top FBI official Shawn Henry told the newspaper. "This is not done in a vacuum. It's not done randomly. It's not taken lightly." The Huffington Post
